The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a crime novel that features the famous literary detective Sherlock Holmes. It is set largely on Dartmoor in Devon in England's West Country, telling the story of an attempted murder inspired by the legend of a terrorizing hound.( one of my all time favorites of Sherlock Holmes novels and stories)( pages 128)
